Application Made Easy
Your informative application is your ticket to your future career!
But how can you easily win us over using our online application system?
E-recruiting specialist Christiane B. has helpful tips on how to master the application process.
How do I find a job that suits me?
“You can search for new postings using the global job search function located on the right-hand side of the career page. Most importantly, though, a suitable position is one that corresponds to your academic or career background and your personal interests. Select the "Function" and "Level of entry" that correspond to your profile. This gives you an overview of all vacancies that apply to your search criteria and you can apply directly via the link within the respective job posting.”
How does online application at Roche work? What should I be aware of?
“Being prepared is the most important thing. Once you have put together all the documents you believe will win us over, there are only a few steps necessary for our online application process. If you have not done so already, the first step is to register on our website and create your profile, username and password. The next steps are easy! Add your cover letter and documents; then add additional personal information before you submit your application.
Be absolutely sure you click "Send" at the very end so that your application gets submitted. Once we have received your application, you will receive an automatic e-mail reply.”
What documents should I have prepared for an online application?
“We want to Roche to convince you–and we expect the same from you! Show us that you are a perfect match for Roche and for the job vacancy in question? That is why we would like the most comprehensive impression possible of you.
A cover letter, your CV and your secondary school diploma are all a must. We are also interested in certificates and letters of reference relative to previous positions you have held, and if applicable, diplomas and transcripts from apprenticeships, further education and university programmes. Entry-level applicants should also include letters of reference about completed internships. Interns must submit proof of current enrolment at an educational institution.
You may upload up to 10 documents (of up to 1 MB each) in .doc, .pdf or .jpg formats. My suggestion is to rename all your documents according to their content; this facilitates our work and gives us a clearer overview of your attachments.
What makes my cover letter convincing?
“Your cover letter enables you to give your application a personal touch. Use it make it clear to us why you are especially suited to this vacancy and what it is that makes Roche interesting to you. Take a look at our Roche career blog (German only) for helpful tips on putting together convincing applications.”
Can I edit my application later on?
“Of course you can! Yes, click again on “Online bewerben” (Apply online) within the job description to go through the individual steps one more time. Your previous application is then overwritten.
Nevertheless, we recommend going through the application steps only once and in a focused manner.”
How do I know whether my application was successful and what can I expect once I have submitted it?
“You will receive a reply by e-mail. Depending on the position you are applying for and if you have convinced us that you might be a suitable candidate, we will invite you to a telephone interview, test, meeting, group exercise or an assessment day.”
Who can I contact in case I have problems with my online application?
“If you have questions about the application process, the recruiter responsible for the job vacancy is listed on the left-hand side. You can reach the recruiter via the contact information listed in the respective job description.
If you have a technical question or problem, please send us a quick message using our contact form.
Have you got any more tips for potential applicants?
“It is crucial to be well-prepared and go through the application in a calm and focused manner. After that, there is only one thing left to say: Good luck!”Share
