The ebrary Academic Complete ebooks collection includes over 50,000 titles spanning all academic subject areas. The ebooks are from more than 400 major academic, professional, and STM (scientific, technical, medical) publishers. QIM 520 offers research training in Instructional Technology (IT) and requires students to critically explore, discuss, and interpret contemporary practice and research in this field. Participants will review research articles, theoretical papers, and critical essays about issues and problems facing the field of IT today. Topics covered include the philosophical foundations of instructional technology, e-learning, distributed learning, issues in online learning, the digital divide, and socio-cultural issues of IT. Each student will identify an area/topic to study in depth, and will create an original research proposal and present it in seminars that will be held on May 25th and 1st June, 2015. Students will be evaluated based on their abilities to analyze, reflect, synthesize the related knowledge and defend them.

QIM 520 also involves research and academic writing activities. Each student will conduct a research project based on his/her proposal during the research internship period, which will be held from June 29-August 8, 2015. A research report in the form of a dissertation or camera-ready article will be submitted for evaluation.
